Get to Know – Kristine Baker, Owner and Trained Wedding Planner

First off, I should probably tell you about myself. I am a graduate from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting. I know that this will sound cliche, but I truly do adore organizing – from the home budget to underneath the kitchen sink. After graduating with my degree in Accounting, I decided to follow my passion for luxury items, love of helping people and curiosity of knowing what goes on behind the scenes to high-end retail stores. I was given the unmentionable honor to have worked for Burberry, Cole Haan, Celine, BCBG, and (finally) Neiman Marcus. Working for all of the aforementioned retailers taught me the importance of building a relationship with all your clients, always look at the details, and how to be quick on your feet!

Over two years ago, I decided to get my certification in wedding and event planning through the AACWP (American Association of Certified Wedding Planners).  It was the best decision that I have made so far!  This past year I joined their Board of Directors.  I currently serve as their Communications Chair.
