Hi Everybody!

I am so excited to share these gorgeous photos with all of you!  I feel so blessed to have been a part of Brittney and Tanner’s wedding day.  They were a joy and pleasure to work with!  The ceremony and the reception took place at the amazing TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, TX.

About the Couple

Small story about them and it will also explain the Taco Bell packets at this wedding.  Tanner, the groom, is a huge fan of Taco Bell.  Since the moment they met back in high school, Brittney knew that it was quite possible that her engagement would be the Taco Bell packet that said “Will You Marry Me?”  As all of their friends and family knew about Tanner’s adoration for the fast food Tex Mex delicious late night treat.  Brittney let Tanner know as they were talking about getting married that she should let him know that if he asks at a Taco Bell with the packet…it wouldn’t get the right answer.  He thus changed his plans and proposed to her in front of family and friends.  Brittney decided for his groom’s cake to surprise him with a Mexican chocolate cake in the shape of a Taco Bell packet with a special message to let him know that she loves him and was excited to be his wife. 🙂

Getting Ready

Britney and her bridesmaids got ready at Hotel NYLO in Plano, TX.  This is amazing hotel as there is lots of natural light (Photographer speak for great picture taking opportunities) as well as fun and contemporary feel.  The bride, bridesmaids and Mother of the Bride had hair and makeup styling done by the very talented team of professionals from Elan Makeup Studio.  Anita, owner of Elan Makeup Studio, is amazing and fast!

The bride, bridesmaids and Mother of the Bride departed Hotel NYLO Plano to TPC Craig Ranch to start getting into their dresses.  The bride’s dress was Maggie Sottero gown that a ruffled skirt with a lace and Swarovski crystal embellished bustier that she found out at Stardust Celebrations.  The bridesmaids dresses were cocktail length black strapless dresses with a sweetheart neckline that the bride found at Nordstrom.

I have to stop about mention the amazing florals from Haute Floral.  Kristen is a magician!  Brittney’s colors were red, white, black and a little bit of pink.  I remember sitting in her floral consultation and holding my breath to see what Kristen would suggest.  The bouquets were just the beginning of this beautifully done color scheme of red, white, black and pink wedding.

All of the men’s attire was acquired through Men’s Wearhouse.

The Ceremony

They opted to have their ceremony inside as Brittney and Tanner were married in January.  That is definitely something to note about TPC Craig Ranch is that their indoor and outdoor space is amazing for a wedding ceremony.  Their ceremony was performed by the minister at the church where Brittney grew up at.

Brittney and Tanner recessing out has to be one of my all time favorites as they both look so at ease and full of joy!

Reception

The cakes not only looked amazing, but they tasted amazing.  The bride’s cake was a multi-tier cake with flavors hand selected by the bride.  Now the Groom’s Cake was Mexican Chocolate, because it honestly went with the theme of the cake.

The couples enjoyed the amazing DJ stylings of Rod Baker.  DJ Rod is one of those chosen few who make what I do so much easier as he goes above and beyond entertaining for the day of the wedding – he creates an experience for the bride and groom.

The couple and their guests danced the night away!

Hi Everybody!

Before the weekend hits, I wanted to send you away with some beautiful wedding photos of a wedding I did just this past May.  Elizabeth and Addison were an amazing well traveled couple, so it was fitting that their wedding take place somewhere outdoors and inspired by another culture.  Their wedding was at the Japanese Gardens, which is one of my beautiful gardens at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens.

Getting Ready

Elizabeth and Addison both got ready at the luxurious Omni Hotel in the heart of Downtown Fort Worth.  The groom and groomsmen played pool by the pool, while the bride and her bridesmaids were treated to hair and makeup by the amazing Sydney Ann Lopez in one of the Fort Worth Omni Hotel’s suites.

The bride’s dress was a Watters dress purchased at Stardust Celebrations.  The groom and groomsmen’s attire was acquired at Al’s Formal Wear.

Ceremony

The ceremony was outside at the Japanese Gardens.  Friends and family were surrounded by the beautiful plant life that truly takes you away to Asia.  Their ceremony was touching with even the minister agreeing to their union (See below picture).

Reception

The reception was lit by cafe lights and chinese lanterns.  There were so many personal touches done by the bride from the forks below, homemade cowboy cookies for her favors and Koi Food for the Koi fish that reside in the Japanese Gardens.  The couple is highly adventurous, so the groom’s cake was themed appropriately with the rock climbing and an “Addison” figurine.  The bride’s cake truly took on the theme of the gardens withe Japanese Cherry Blossoms that ran from the bottom to the top of the multi-tier confection.  Both cakes were provided by the incredibly talented Heidi of Sugar Bee Sweets.

The couple and their guests were treated to the entertainment stylings of DJ Cone.  The guests gathered around the couple for their exit and showered the bride and groom with bubbles.

Hi Everybody!

I have some breath taking photos from Cortnye and Beau’s wedding in April.  Their ceremony and reception took place at the very contemporary 129 Leslie.  They decided to do a First Look at the hotel where they were going to be staying the night at NYLO Hotel Dallas on South Side.  Everything about their wedding really showed off their styling from their DIY Photo Lounge to Cortnye’s beautiful wedding dress. 🙂

Getting Ready

The bride and her bridesmaids got ready go the very eclectic Nylo Hotel Dallas on South Side Lamar.  This hotel has become iconic as it has the “South Side” on top of the building.  The natural light that flowed through the room allowed Whitney Bennett of Whitney Bennett Photography to capture the true beauty of Cortnye’s unique style.

The bride purchased her dress in the formal wear section of Nordstrom.

First Look

Cortnye and Beau decided to do a First Look prior  to their ceremony as they wanted to have a private moment for just the two of them.  As a wedding planner, I have become a fan of First Look’s as they allow for formal pictures to be gotten out of the way prior to the ceremony.  It also allows the couple to lose themselves completely in the moment.

Ceremony

The couple were married in front a backdrop that hand done by the bride.  The backdrop had altering ribbons of blush.  It was hung with gold chains.  They exchanged personally written vows to each other that left many a tear stained cheek.

Reception

The couple’s reception was in the same building.  The guests walked out of the ceremony space and they were invited into the reception space.  There was a short cocktail hour before their reception that featured stations of Tacos and Custom Mac ‘n Cheese bars.  The couple also decided on having a dessert bar with a small cake for cutting.  All desserts and cake were provided by Tart Bakery.  The guests were treated the DJ stylings of Mike Mahnich, which always keep the dance floor full!

The couple exited into a shower of bubbles.

Hi Everybody!

I have been hard at work on so many different wedding lately that I am going to attempt to keep up blogging.   I just got a hold of the engagement session for Cortnye and Beau from Whitney Bennett Photography!  Whitney’s artist eye truly makes this engagement session amazing!  I truly can’t wait for their wedding at 129 Leslie.  It is sure to be stunning!

Locations

The engagement sessions actually had two locations.  One very different from the other.  The first location is the Bishop Arts District.  I always adore any Bishop Arts District Engagement Sessions as they always add a touch of whimsy for my couples who are searching for some place in Dallas that is just a little bit more unique. This area is really fun and eclectic, so it matches Cortnye and Beau’s style perfectly.  The other location was White Rock Lake.  I adore any portrait session at White Rock Lake, because every time I see them it is like I am discovering a new area of White Rock Lake that I have never seen before.

Hi everybody!

It has been a while since I blogged, but honestly I have been super busy with Dallas weddings and events!  I can’t wait to share them with you in the next coming weeks!

It has been a while, but I get to venture over to Fort Worth for a wedding!  Remember that Urban Magnolia Weddings and Events services all of the DFW Area, so that is Dallas weddings and Fort Worth weddings!  I am very excited about this wedding that will be at the Japanese Gardens in Fort Worth Botanical Gardens!

Location

Elizabeth and Addison had their engagement pictures taken at the amazing Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano, TX.  I also adore seeing Arbor Hills Nature Preserve Engagement sessions as it is honestly this area of Plano that you wouldn’t ever imagine existed.  From the trees to the foilage, this location made for a perfect fit for Elizabeth and Addison as it shows the couple in one of their favorite elements: Nature!
